Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

1. Who we are

Poker Chips Manager (“the Site”) is operated from Japan by Masahiro Kato, an individual operator, who is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

You can contact us at any time, including about anything in this policy, through our contact form. We will reply by email.

2. What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter to run a game — player names, chip counts, blind levels and the state of a saved game — is stored only in your own browser, using localStorage on your device.

This data is never automatically transmitted to or stored on our servers. It stays entirely under your control, and you can erase it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data. We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name or email address to use the app.

3. Cookies and third-party services

We use the following third-party services, which may set cookies or similar identifiers:

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so does not affect your ability to use the chip-management features, because those run entirely on your device.

4. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)

  • Consent(Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for analytics and advertising cookies. If you are in the EEA or the UK, these are not set until you agree to them.
  • Performance of a contract(Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to process your payment and issue an unlock code if you purchase ad removal.
  • Legitimate interests(Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — to keep the Site secure and to prevent abuse of the unlock-code system.

5. Withdrawing your consent

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you are asked for your choice before any analytics or advertising cookie is set, and you may refuse. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew.

6. International transfers

The Site is operated from Japan, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection. Google and Stripe may process data in the United States and other countries; they do so under the safeguards described in their own privacy policies, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

7. How long data is kept

Game data in localStorage remains on your device until you clear it; we have no copy and no ability to delete it for you. Google Analytics data is retained for the period configured in our Analytics property, up to a maximum of 14 months. Payment records held by Stripe are retained as required by applicable accounting and tax law.

8. Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to request access to your personal data, and to request its rectification or erasure; to request restriction of processing; to object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us through the contact form to exercise any of these rights.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.

9. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in the service. The revised version takes effect when it is published on this page, and the “last updated” date above will be changed accordingly.
